Kobi Weaver

 

Kobi serves as an archaeological specialist and all around jack-of-all trades at Lone Mountain. They have a BA in anthropology with a focus in archeology from New Mexico State University where they interned with the archaeologists at White Sands National Park, worked at the National History Museum, was the recipient of the Honors College Scholarship for International Research where they completed a thesis studying archaeological soil chemistry in the Maya lowlands in Belize, and graduated summa cum laude. They received their MA in Anthropology from Louisiana State University where they focused in using soil chemical analysis in underwater Maya salt works, the used of 3-D printing and scanning for artifacts, and the preservation of wood recovered from underwater sites. At Lone Mountain, Kobi works on all aspects of report writing, project management, survey, site excavation, data collection, and artifact management and curation.
